The six GoodGymmers who made it up the hill to Springfield were rewarded with even more sweltering heat than we thought possible.
There was talk of “Eat in to Help out” ice cream, a fellow allotment holder declared she was going to find a way to get a freezer at the allotments, Darren scared everyone by hiccuping in his incredibly loud way and Tim harvested a giant marrow.
Paths were cleared, non-paths were prepped and grass-seeded, weeds dug, plums eaten, evil weeds taken to the evil weed pile and the floor of the roundhouse superbly swept and mopped ready for a new group to enjoy tomorrow.
The space is proving really popular during the Covid school holidays as there’s so much outside space and we’re loving being a part of making that happen.
Then we got home in time to enjoy the spectacular thunder and lightning. The way you hiccup is frightening.
