Tinned Fish, Canned Fish Stack the Box 🐟📦
4 GoodGymers made their way to help the Bexley Food Bank in Bexley.

The morning started at a crisp Danson Park, some might say cold, with six GoodGymers participating in the Bexley parkrun, with two spectating from the sidelines. The 5k having been completed, four made their way across to Erith to help with sorting food donations for distribution to local families.
When we arrived, we were taken aback by the sheer amount of food donations consisting of pasta, meat and fruit. But our sole task in this plaice was sorting cans of fish into crates by sell-by date. Cod only knows where the donations came from but it was case of prawn and brain in ensuring they were correctly sorted and stacked in date order; not a task for a shrimping violet. Happy to report no mi-skates were made.
It was interesting to know how these were distributed and was told some 7,000 families were recipients of these donations.
A very worthwhile task and an insight into the work undertaken in the borough.
