Heres to an amazing 2018
It was great to welcome the GoodGym team back after the Christmas break for our 'new year new you ' starter run meeting, as a one off, on a Tuesday. We spent 10 minutes happily chatting about all the park run tourism adventures that the team had been up to over the Christmas and new year together with plans already formulating for th next festive season!
With group approval (minus Beths!) we decided to embark on a run slightly longer than advertised but little did we know that this would result in a Strava January challenge being completed so early in the month.
Duncan , Belinda , Michelle and Gill fell into line with Beth doing a starter sprint to catch us on the warm up before she relaxed into skipping mode nursing a calf injury from her double park run on new years day. perhaps its time for that 4 letter word that runners hate to hear ?
We mixed up steady running with a few hills and tempo efforts. In the course of the run we were discussing individual fitness challenges and goals for the next few months with a few ideas (and excuses) thrown in. Watch out ! Im on the case :)
Finally we headed back south down a few sussex twittens before arriving back to base at Splashpoint Leisure Centre for a swift photo shoot. It was at this stage that Belinda realised that she was on the brink of achieving her 10 k Strava challenge that she had signed up for January so she ran the extra 0.3 km home and smashing through her target (almost) effortlessly on day 2. Kudos to you B !

Great run, great report - little stiff this morning after 20k in two days but determined to do more! Looking forward to a 10 mile route suggestion & other half marathon training advice!
