Tonight the super-troopers tackled drawers and windows, shining like the sun, smiling having fun, feeling like a number one.
14 GoodGymers made their way 7.0km to help the Changing Lives in Newcastle.

The running world is reeling from Eliud Kipchoge's outstanding marathon world record yesterday after he dazzled Berlin with his incredible 2:01:39 finish. But ask yourself this...
Did he make a chest of drawers when he finished? I doubt it.
It was a new task for us tonight from our charity partner Changing Lives at Eslington house, a project for homeless young people to stay to help them get back on their feet after a period of temporary housing. This little set of flats is hidden away in Gateshead, giving us our longest run south of the river to date. We said hi to new runners Aimee and Kerry, welcomed Peter back from holiday and congratulated two parkrun achievements: Rachel on her 200th and Kate on her first!
It was a flat pack adventure
Five flat pack chest of drawers were waiting for our building skills, and two buckets of water were also ready and waiting for Faye and Louise to get cracking with the windows! I was happy to just stand back and tell everyone what a great job they were doing with their Swedish furniture building, I(kea) can't even do a jigsaw without getting stressed half to death. Now as we all know, it's the taking part and not the winning that counts but I do feel I have to mention Katy and Ross got their chest of drawers assembled first and I'm sure Katy will present him with a sticker when they get home from her Teacher collection.
This was not a task for the faint-hearted, nor for those who had to get back home in time, and we had to keep working long into the time we usually spend on the fitness session so some of the group left a little earlier while the majority stayed on to get the job done (complete with head torch illumination from Ross) don't worry- we will count the steps in and out of the underpasses as our hill rep fitness session this evening.
Also, we will do double next week, and you're welcome.
The brilliant satisfaction of assembled furniture allowed us to look back with pride as the night drawed to a close and we have everything crossed that we will be going back to do more good things at this wonderful project that really makes a difference to young peoples' lives.
Don't forget to check out this weekend's community mission here it really was a brilliant way to spend a Sunday when we helped out last time!
If anyone fancies a bit of parkrun tourism this weekend, I am pacing 30 minutes at the gorgeous South Shields parkrun and you'd be more than welcome to join me.
Happy running, have a fab week.
