Triple Trouble
3 GoodGymers made their way 4.5km to help the ELSH - Educational Learning Support Hub in Barnsley.
- Tuesday, 3rd of April 2018
- Led by Tom Mutton
With the majority or regular runners in Dublin for Stag & Hen do's our numbers were slightly reduced on our task, but none the less 3 committed runners met at Shaw Lane Sports Centre and headed out to what will in the future with our help be the new ELIM church centre in Barnsley.
Unfortunately Florentine had a little trouble with traffic and the Bank Holiday weekend had played havoc with the planned skip delivery so we were limited in what we could do on the night. However it gave us a great opportunity to meet with Florentine and Richard the builder on site to discuss this project and our involvement with it.
We had a full tour of the building and talked through the fantastic activities the church will be offering to the local community once up and running. A plan was hatched for our return visit and goodbyes were said until next time.
On return to Shaw Lane we took advantage of the array of benches around the cricket pitch and had a bench themed circuit which included:
- Press Ups
- Box Jumps
- Calf Raises
- Piston Squats
- Tri Dips
- Toe Taps
- Leg Raises
After a good stretch and chat we said our goodbyes until next week.
Happy Running :)
