Turfing the turf out of the back door!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.

Here's what Mrs J of SW11 had to say about the mission:
'I'm so grateful to them. They didn't have much space to work in, but they did the job beautifully!'
It was difficult to locate Mrs J flat. It was the only one with a a massive roll of artificial turf leaned up against the wall in the whole street!
When we arrived we found that the task was to transport a 14 foot long roll of artificial turf through her basement flat to the back garden. Mrs J had identified that getting the cardboard tube out of the role could help. We started folding the turf and removed the tube. Just when we found ourselves totally sandwhiched between the turf and the wall Mrs J's coach runner Rebecca came to our rescue. With three runners on the task we lifted the turf and managed to fold it.
Inch by inch we pulled/ lifted and carried it through the house. A couple of coats and flowerpots had to flee for safety!
Eventually we made it to the back garden where folding it neatly was much easier! Once the grass is gone the artificial grass will enable Mrs J and Rebecca to sit there in the summer. Enjoy !

Amazing work, gang! Sounds like a tricky one, but a turf-riffic effort
