Today’s GG morning shift was represented by Vicki & John. Vicki was stationed in the corridor organising patients from the waiting room to the treatment rooms. John was on front of house duties taking temperatures today.

The highlight of the day came when Carol called John into the clinic to capture a wasp that was unnerving some of the patients. It had decided to camp out on the ceiling and was beyond the reach of everyone. We finally managed to coax it onto a lower wall where it was captured using a desert bowl and a piece of paper. A big cheer followed and John moved swiftly to transportation the offending wasp outside, passing another wasp as he went through the waiting room.

Once outside John went to release the wasp only to find it had gone! It had already escaped and must have been the one in the waiting room.

On return to the waiting room the wasp soon obliged it’s re-capture by landing in the bowl. Moving safely to the corner of the car park, it soon buzzed off to sting another day.

Vicki and John were soon relieved of duties by the lunchtime team, Jo K and Emma G.
