After two weeks of not being able to get hold of my Age UK buddy JJ (phone calls unanswered, messages to her Son not returned and Age Concern..well... not that concerned frankly) I was about to run up there when I finally got through. It turns out JJ’s phone had been faulty. I was so pleased to know she was OK.
I decided to redirect my run to check in on another 86 year old that I like to keep an eye on, she was fine but on the way I came across an older lady who had overbalanced whilst clearing litter in her garden, thankfully she was unhurt but shaken and sitting on the garden path unable to get herself up. Her neighbour came out and helped me get her to her feet. The neighbour was very sweet, clearly cared about the lady and was more than capable of handling things from there (she even promised to pick up the rest of the litter) so I left them to it.
