Unbe-leaf-able!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.
- Saturday, 21st of October 2017
Mhairi and I met in the midst of windy storm Brian for Mhairi's first mission and my second visit to Ms G.
The garden was looking excellent, and it turned out that Good Gym's last visit had inspired Ms G to get out and do a bit more on the garden herself, including planting some new bushes at the back to cover up the wall.
Our tasks today were to dig up some of the flowerbeds and clear the garden of leaves. I got digging while Mhairi tackled the leaves. Ms G told us about the time she found an unexploded bomb in the garden, which made us dig and rake a little more carefully!
We were done in no time and it was brilliant to see the improvement made. Ms G thanked us profusely and, after ensuring we had scraped our shoes thoroughly of mud, providing a butter knife for the purpose, she sent us on our way.
