Wardown Workout
5 GoodGymers made their way 5.8km to help the Sisters of St. Clare's Convent in Luton.
- Monday, 18th of April 2022

Given the long weekend and the lovely weather we had a bank holiday Monday Group Run to round off the weekend.
Welcoming new runner Connor to GoodGym we met up in Wardown park to gently work on our running with a couple of laps of the park, some targeted stretching to improve the range of motion in our legs, and a quick burst of speed in a meet and retreat to get warmed up again.
With all that done we armed ourselves with litter pickers and headed off to a riverside footpath nearby where there was a lot of litter hidden among the foliage on the river back, to clean up in the last of the holiday sunshine!
Two black sacks of litter later, we had the whole area cleaned up and took a quick diversion to see the tranquil garden at St. Clare's Convent, where the Sisters who called in our task provide a public space for quiet reflection.
