We came, we saw, but we could not conquer the sofa
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.

Great to see super-GoodGymmer Nick again for our second mission together and his fifth mission of the day...!
I've had an easy time of it lately with any furniture moving missions - fridges aren't too heavy when they're empty and very compliant at going through doorways. However, it was a sofa we were tasked with moving out of Mr J's flat, to assist with his return from hospital in the next few days. It began ominously as we were given a heads up that the sofa might not fit into the lift, and once at Mr J's flat I made the mistake of joking that the before photo might look the same as the after photo. We gave it a good go, establishing all of the ways in which the sofa wouldn't go through the living room door and I'm pleased to share our findings here:
It's always frustrating to come away from a mission not having achieved what you'd hoped for the beneficiary, but perhaps the above might be useful for any GoodGymmers getting a second bite of the cherry.
Enjoy your hol Nick, till the next one!

Great report Hilary - thanks for getting this out much quicker than we managed with that sofa - and good to catch up on another mission, trust you made it back east without any problems. As you say hopefully a pair of suitably armed and prepared volunteers can complete the task for Mr J and his therapist next time round!
Well done both for trying so hard to complete this mission - you gave it such a good go!
