We came, We SAWED (we sawed), We conquered
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Croydon.
- Saturday, 25th of January 2020
Myself and Charlie arrived at Mrs S’s on a mild to chilly afternoon to
We both arrived having clocked up some miles run earlier in the day.
Today’s task was to help Mrs S out with some gardening tasks: 1. Cut back and over hanging and over grown tree 2. Make the roof of a green house visible 3. Mow the lawn
We started with the biggest task the overgrown tree first. The lower sections and small branches were quickly tackled. Charlie then got stuck in with the Sawing, and sawing, and sawing cutting down the bigger branches.
After a few finger counts making sure they were all still there, and a few Paul “mind your head” the big branches were cut down.
We jointly broke down the small branches twigs.
The Charlie moved on to mowing the lawn.
I got stuck into sawing, and sawing, and sawing the bigger branches into sections that Mrs S will use for her barbecue in the summer.
The top of the greenhouse was cleared in no time at all.
Tasks completed after a fun couple of hours we said our goodbyes to Mrs S.
