2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hounslow.
- Sunday, 27th of May 2018
On an expectedly warm Sunday two runners ran to help Mr G to clear some space in his home, having recently returned from hospital. Mr G greeted us at the front door bang on 2:30pm and invited us in to survey the space he wanted some help to clear. Once Danny had taken in some water and caught his breath from a 13k run from his previous mission that morning in south London we set about making a plan with Mr G. There were a few items Mr G wanted to move out of his spare room ready for collection by a local charity. Mr G wasn’t sure which charities in the neighbourhood collected unwanted items so together we came up with a shortlist of four, for Mr G to contact in the week. Once that was done Danny helped to clear a path to the window which Mr G was pleased about as he could now get to sort through books, bags and boxes when he felt able to. Whilst we only had to lift a few items for Mr G we hope this got him off to a good start.
