Wheel barrow your sorrow
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.
- Saturday, 18th of May 2019
Isabel and Gosia met up in Southwark today to help out Ms R in doing a small tidy up π§Ή in her back garden. Ms R welcomed as warmly but we have noticed she wasn't feeling great and it was a bit of struggle for her to get even to the door; she was recovering after having a fall just yesterday. It was so important and we were so happy to bring some sunshine βοΈβοΈβοΈ for her today.
She showed us how to access the back garden and what would like us to do. The task was to move a pile of rubbish, sink, few pieces of wood, old furniture and tools to the front of the house for a collection scheduled for Monday π.
No time to WASTE! We have got on with the task quickly, starting with a small rearrangement for the waste bins in front of the house, to make a space for what we were about to move from the garden.
First we picked an old wheelbarrow, packed it up with wood pieces and transported all in bulk. What an efficiency π! Then, we were making rounds, picking stuff rather one by one, as some of them were pretty heavy. We left old doors as the last, as they required both of us, our teamwork and super strength π¦ΈββοΈπ¦ΈββοΈ.
We have followed the instructions given by Ms R and she seemed to be pleased with the result. Before we went back ahe told us a bit more about her fall and that she has few other tasks GG could help her with. Definitely worth to check in with her.
