Weed did our first missions!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hounslow.
- Saturday, 21st of October 2017
Two of GoodGym Hounslow’s runners joined forces to complete their first missions! Both having recently bashed their noses in (Remy had a difference of opinion with a horse, Michelle didn’t see eye-to-eye with a children’s playground), we staggered up to Ms M’s door and hoped she wouldn’t think we were a fight club.
Ms M’s back garden was a sea of weeds, but we had plenty of tools from Ms M and Michelle came prepared with gloves. We decided on a strategy and got stuck in.
An hour and many snails later, the garden was cleared - and a neighbour’s cat came over to inspect. She pooh-poohed our efforts (pun vigorously intended), but Ms M and her visitor were much more enthusiastic.
Two heads did not prove better than one when it came to navigation on the run home, but one entirely-uphill run later, we had officially completed our first missions.
