Having just attended the inaugural Catford Parkrun 2 runners took to their 2 wheels and made their way to the mission for Mrs C.

Upon arrival Mrs C stated that she did not expect us to arrive due to the rain. We happily informed her that we would indeed be completing the task at hand, despite the rain which had luckily settled by this point.

Although we were unable to cut the grass as Mrs C required, we were able to carry out some other small tasks leaving the lawn mowing for a brighter drier day.

Following instructions we pulled the weeds out of the plant pots and removed the top layer of soil. We cleaned up the patio and removed any rubbish to the front of the house.

Once we had finished, we called Mrs C to inspect our handy work to which she appeared quite pleased. Mrs C informed us that she previously had a 100 foot garden but was unable to manage it due to ill health and stated that she was much happier with her garden at this (smaller) size. She told us that she was quite famous for her colourful garden and missed not being able to tend to it as she used to.

After chatting for a little while we left Mrs C to carry on in the kitchen. With the small of her lunch lingering in the air we left and made our way home to have some well deserved lunch of our own.
