What goes up must...fit through the front door
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.
- Friday, 18th of January 2019
Dave, Matt and I made a quick pit stop on the way home on Friday evening to help move some furniture so that Mrs H can come home from hospital. For that to happen a sofa needed to be moved from the ground floor to the spare room upstairs to make way for a hospital bed to be moved in. Having done the route in reverse we were ready to get started. In the time it took for Matt to clear the route by moving everything off the stairs, Dave realised that the indoor route wasn’t going to work and we were going to have to resort to plan B. It may have been the scenic route but the outdoor option went pretty smoothly - out the door, up the external stairs and round to the front door. Once through the door there was plenty of ‘to you, to me’ and pivoting going on but within a few minutes the sofa was in its new surroundings and we were saying our goodbyes, just in time for the hospital bed to be delivered.
