What light through yonder window breaks...
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Monday, 17th of February 2020
Cast - one replacement halogen light bulb, Phillips screwdriver, stepladder (thankfully), 2 tall GoodGym volunteers, one kindly Miss C to oversee matters.
Background - Well they weren't joking when they said the bathroom ceiling was quite high, and whilst fortunately both David and I would reach the 6 ft (183 cm in new money) mark on the height chart, we were thankful for Miss C's stepladder to reach the errant light in her bathroom, otherwise we would have been standing on each other's shoulders...
Scene 1 - Armed with all the necessary tools, we quickly got to work - well David did in all honesty (good teamwork sometimes involves one person doing most of the work after all) - and we had the glass shade removed, bulb replaced and unit cleaned and refitted in double quick time...
Scene 2 - With a press of the switch there was light once more and Miss C was delighted with our efforts - we left the stage for her to enjoy her newly illuminated bathroom.

Fabulous Mission and report - I'm sure Miss C is very grateful to not be brushing her teeth in the dark. Great work!
