When the rain comes...
2 GoodGymers made their way 1.0km to help their local community in Bromley.

Summer is officially over! Well, it certainly appears that way. With dark clouds above and drizzle everywhere and a couple of regulars feeling "under the weather" it was a quiet evening in Bromley and I travelled over to Downham Community Centre alone :'(
Luckily Lewisham regular Conroy was already at the centre. Tuesday evening is when his daughter takes Tae Kwon Do classes and he'd spent the last twenty minutes weeding and digging like crazy around the back of the centre by the fire escape, that was rather overgrown.
So, I grabbed a fork and some gloves and got stuck in as well and we toiled away getting soggier and soggier but got loads done and by the end of the night had filled three large bins with weeds and debris.
Check out the spider with egg that we found in the photos. If we're lucky when we go back next week they'll have hatched and there'll be baby spiders everywhere. If that doesn't persuade you to come down then I don't know what will.
Don't forget it's the GoodGym Olympics this weekend with the monthly social taking place afterwards.
We are back to Downham Community Centre next week to carry on clearing and with a bit of effort should have it completely clear.
See you there,
Simon
