Where there’s a pill, there’s a way
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Friday, 18th of September 2020
I perused my emails on Friday afternoon - notifications of kudos on strava, ‘don’t forget these Facebook things you haven’t seen yet’ messages, various offers for free delivery and 30% off and other ways to lose my money to the black hole that is online shopping, and of course the GoodGym updates. The odd cheer, a mission listed near your home, and then the ‘Last chance to help’ message... I can’t help myself. If I couldn’t help Mr F, then who would, bearing in mind the prescription collection was listed for about two hours time...
I signed up, knowing full well I wouldn’t make it to Clapham for 5, but hey at least the job would get done. I rang Mr F to let him know I’d be running (or rather cycling) late, which he was fine with. Better late than never!
Later that evening, I hit the hills of Wandsworth on two wheels to pick up the delivery from Boots and then drop it off for Mr F. Job done.
