Sheila and Georgeta went this afternoon to help Mrs R with her gardening, as she is not able to do it herself. The first problem we've encountered was that the brand new cordless lawnmower and strimmer, 2in1, were still unpacked. I proceeded with unpacking and trying to assemble the strimmer (!), while Sheila put the battery to charge and then moved on to tackling the patio area, which was covered in brambles, bindweed and other assorted weeds.

Once I figured out what goes where and had something that looked a bit like an assembled strimmer, I joined Sheila.

We cleared the patio area, the furniture and the paved footpath leading to the garden shed of all the unwanted pots, trinkets and weeds, making it safer for Mrs R to go out in the garden. We were hoping that the battery would charge in time and we'd get to do the lawn as well within one visit, however that wasn't the case. There is more to do, yet the garden looks more inviting already.
