Didn't Pave Paradise, But We Helped in The Parking Lot

After a last minute request from Strong Soul Fitness to provide a few marshals for they Family Funday, three of Gill, Duncan and Lizzie hot footed it across town from volunteering at Parkrun to meet up with Musa at Stockwood Park ready to don our second hi-vis of the day and take our places in the parking lot.

Our task was to act as a natural deterrent and stop people parking!!! In fact our job was to direct people to the relevant car park depending on wether they were playing golf, playing rugby or going to join in the Funday. To keep our strength up (it's a very labour intensive task) Duncan had bought doughnuts and brownies kindly donated by Ruth in celebration of her Goodgym century, which were much appreciated - and will help energise the two who'll be running a ten miler tomorrow.

Musa was delighted that not only did the hi-vis give him authority to direct the cars, but his Goodgym tee-shirt allowed him free access into the event itself.

The rest of us were delighted that our shift ended just as the rain started to fall.
