Regaining the plot
7 GoodGymers made their way 5km to help the Penrose Roots to Recovery in Luton.
- Wednesday, 1st of March 2023
- Led by David Mansfield
This week we returned to the Roots to Recovery garden to prepare for the new growing season by getting a potato plot back in action.
The team at the garden have done an excellent job this year at preparing most of the plots but the potato plot was still only half done, so we stuck our forks in. Turning the soil and removing the grass and weeds that had moved in, we got this large plot a lot closer to completion and will come back in a few weeks to dig the trenches for planting potatoes in! 🥔
After the task we stopped by the Wardown Park bandstand to do a quick plank test, times were recorded so can we can spend March working on our core strength and test again at the end of the month to measure the improvement!
