A small team this week as people couldn't be persuaded to get involved with a bramble patch in the dark for some reason 🤔
Well they missed out because after a run up the gentle hill to Dallow Downs, we four armed ourselves with tools from the Ferndale Allotment and then went into battle with the brambles, emerging victorious after 45 minutes of chopping and slicing the prickly foe.
In the process we discovered a few treasures discarded some years ago and then enveloped by the thorny thicket, including a Dyson vacuum cleaner, toy pram, part of a lawn mower and a portrait of an old Hollywood movie star that we couldn't quite identify.
With two giant bags of thorns packed and a pile of rubbish left for collection in the morning we set off back into town via a brief stop in Brantwood park for a resistance band leg strengthening workout.
