In the first Group Run of 2021 we welcomed newbie Dani as we formed a team of six to run a 9km loop with a short stop for a litter pick around the pedestrian bridge at Eaton Green roundabout.
There was SO much litter in such a small space, hidden among the ivy and undergrowth below the trees, bag after bag of drink cans, bottles and crisp packets were filled plus the following random items:
3 shopping trolleys 2 traffic cones 2 tyres 1 hub cap 1 inkjet printer 1 set of dumbbells 1 pillow
Back in St George's square, Dani still had a big smile on her face as we did our stretches, task completed!
